Purpose To help meritorious and needy students to obtain higher education in India and abroad
Eligibility Indian nationals Admission to professional/technical course through selection process/ on merit base.
Loan Amount • Rs. 10.00 lacs for education in India
• Rs. 15.00 Lacs for Study in prime institutions
• Rs. 20.00 lacs for education abroad
Margin Upto Rs. 4.00 lacs: NIL
Above Rs. 4.00 lacs 5%
For education abroad: 15%
Repayment Repayment 60-84 EMI after moratorium
Moratorium: max. Upto 12 months after completion of course or 6 months after getting employment
Security • Upto Rs. 4.00 lacs: NIL
• Above Rs. 4.00 lacs – 7.50 lacs Third party guarantee
• Above Rs. 7.50 lacs Eq. mortgage of landed property or other tangible security or TPG

For Study in prime institutions
• Upto Rs. 4.00 lacs: NIL
• Above Rs.4 lacs and upto Rs.15 lacs: Co-obligation of parents together with Collateral in the form of a suitable third party guarantee acceptable to the Bank.

Maximum - Rs.100 lacs

Repayment EMI 84 -120 months
In case of overdraft, regular interest payment is required to be made.
Repayment to be completed by the time the borrower reaches 70 years
Security Equitable mortgage of immovable property.
Third party property can be mortgaged in certain cases.

Purpose Purchase of a plot of land for purpose of construction of a house
Eligibility Individual Age 60 years (65 in spl cases)
Upto 45 yrs: 60 times NMI,
Above 45 yrs 48 times NMI,
EMI/NMI:
Income up to Rs. 2.00 lacs – not exceeding-30%
Income above Rs. 2.00 lacs and up to Rs. 5.00 lacs – not exceeding 40%
Income above Rs. 5.00 lacs to Rs.10 lac -45% Above Rs.10 lac - 60%
Loan Amount Maximum Rs.100 lacs
Margin 20%
Repayment EMI Upto 180 months
Security Mortgage/ Eq. mortgage of the property proposed to be purchased/constructed/improved

Key features of the scheme are furnished below:
Name of the scheme SBBJ Career Loan
Purpose For training courses for Pilot / Airhostess / Sport persons
Eligibility Individuals who undertake a course for training/skill development. Initially this scheme will be restricted to persons joining Commercial Pilot training courses and Airhostess Training courses in India and abroad, from institutes recognized by the Ministry of Civil Aviation/DGCA.
Eligible Course for sportspersons: Diploma courses recognized by Sports Authority of India viz Diploma in Sports Coaching, M.Sc. (Sports Coaching), P.G. Diploma Course in Sports Medicine etc will also be considered under the scheme.
Loan Amount • Maximum of Rs.20.00 lacs
Margin Land and Building –20%
Govt. Securities /Public Sector Bonds, NSCs, KVPs, Bank’s Deposits, RBI Relief Bonds etc- 10% on face value, LIC Policy-10 % on surrender Value.
Repayment 36 months in Equated Monthly Instalments commencing from one year after date of completion of course. No penal charges would be levied in case of early repayment of loan by borrowers. Accrued interest during the moratorium to be added to the principal.
Security Equitable Mortgage of non-encumbered residential house/flat, non-agricultural urban immovable property, commercial or industrial property in the name and possession of the borrower/co-borrower, i.e. either self-occupied or vacant. Where equitable mortgage is not feasible and the customer is willing to execute a Registered mortgage deed, it can also be accepted.
OR
(ii) Security in the form of Govt. Securities/Public Sector Bonds/NSCs/KVPs/ /RBI Relief Bonds/LIC Policy/ TDRs of the Bank
Processing Fee 0.60% (inclusive of service tax) of the loan amount to be recovered upfront
